Fairhill Cottage is a self-catering totally private residence on Fairhill Estate which is located just outside Knysna in the Western Cape in South Africa.

The stunning views over the Knysna lagoon to the East and the Outeniqua mountains to the North are unparalleled, and will make your escape into nature to recharge and disconnect from your busy lifestyle complete.

There are also many opportunities for mountain-biking in the immediate vicinity for those of you who don't just want to sit back, relax and take in the scenery.

The cottage is located close to the N2, and the Knysna CBD only 6km away.

The cottage has two bedrooms with a shared family bathroom. There is a queen-size bed in the main bedroom and a king-size bed in the second bedroom. There is also an additional separate toilet for convenience. The cottage is spacious, with around 130 sqm to yourself to enjoy. High quality bed linen and towels are provided, as well as 2-ply toilet rolls.

The cottage has all the amenities including free WiFi, flat-screen TV with Netflix/Disney+, fully-equipped kitchen, and for those wintry nights, an indoor fireplace. The patio has braai facilities and a seating area. A fire-pit is also available with a separate seating area.

The fully-equipped kitchen has a 4-plate gas hob, kettle, toaster, air-fryer, microwave, oven and dishwasher. A washing machine and tumble-dryer are available upon request.

Essential plugs for charging your phone/laptop, the fridge and all lights are all on battery backup so power cuts will not ruin your holiday.

There is also a KolKol hot tub ('the Egg') that you can enjoy the spectacular view from while sipping a glass of bubbly! Wood is supplied for the braai and tub.

Free parking is available with access via an ordinary vehicle (no 4x4 is required).

Private rates for the entire cottage:

• Out of season rate/night: R1,650

• In season rate/night (December & January): R3,750/night

• Cleaning fee: R650/booking (non-refundable)

• Pet fee: R500/booking (non-refundable)

• Bookings for 7 nights or more will receive a 15% discount on the rate/night.

Please note the following:

• Stays are for a minimum of two (2) nights.

• The cottage can accommodate a maximum of four (4) people, including maximum 2 children (all ages welcome).

• There is a feeding chair and camping cot available on request for one baby.

• There is a washing machine and dryer available on request, mainly for longer stays (3 or more nights).

• No pets are allowed, except if special arrangements are made by contacting us directly.
